Buying a Home for a Family of 11 when you’re not a Millionaire!

The search for a new home is usually exciting, but it can also present challenges. Josh and Heather had been living with their 8 children in the same home for 13 years. During that time they had made modifications to accommodate their growing family, and while comfortable, with the 9th child on the way, thought it might be time to look for something different.

At first, they weren’t necessarily planning on working with a REALTOR®, but they saw one a home we had listed and called our office for more information. They met Joyce Warrington, one of our Buyer’s Agents, and promptly put her to work. Josh and Heather had very specific ideas about the type of home they were looking for, and since they didn’t really need to sell their current home, they could afford to be. They looked at many, many homes for sale, and Heather worried that they might be “too much of a hassle” for Joyce. Joyce, on the other hand, has this to say about her experience working with Josh and Heather:

Buying a home that perfectly suits your tastes, lifestyle and family size can be a daunting task, and it’s so fulfilling to see a dream come through with some of your very favorite buyer clients. Josh and Heather’s family is a perfect example of this. They knew what they wanted and had the patience and perseverance to wait for the perfect home setting for their family of eleven. I am so grateful to have been their Buyer’s Agent through the process, but feel so blessed that I have met some precious and lasting friends who have made my life better.

A challenge arose in the process of finding their new home, and the way it all turned out will inspire home buyers facing their own obstacles. And be sure to watch the video all the way to the end to see Heather’s advice to home buyers!
